What we collect
When you join the waitlist on this website we collect your first name, your email address, the country you’re viewing the site for and the page you signed up on. We remember the country you pick in the header in a cookie so the site opens in it next time. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers on this site.
In the app, we keep what you tell us to plan your week: Your supermarket, budget, household size, meal times, interests, kitchen tools, diet, allergies and dislikes, plus your plans, grocery lists and favourites. If you create an account we also keep your email address or your Sign in with Apple identifier.
How we use it
- To send you updates and communications about Otterful, including when the app opens, if you joined the waitlist. You can opt out anytime with the link in any email or by emailing us.
- To plan meals, price them at your chosen store and build your grocery list.
- To keep your account secure and your plans in sync.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with supermarkets.
Diet and allergy information
Your diet and allergy choices are used only to filter recipes. Otterful suggests recipes; it is not medical or dietary advice. Always check product labels for allergens and halal certification.
Where it is kept and for how long
Waitlist details are stored with our database provider, Supabase, and kept until you opt out or ask us to delete them. App data is kept while your account is open. Deleting your account in the app’s profile deletes your data.
Your rights
Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012, Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and, in France and Germany, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and withdraw your consent at any time. We rely on your consent to send waitlist emails. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date above, and tell you in the app before a change affects data we already hold.
